Extract from a story „THE REB. SENIOR ADVISOR“
The Reb is my Senior Advisor in all things relating to food. He approves all my Caloric intake. He is on
the scene at every meal to play food taster. All meats receive immediate attention.
Very seldom do vegetables attract him. He does however have a taste for some salad dressings, unless
they contain vinegar.
He is especially helpful when I'm typing. He loves to walk across the keyboard, or catch my fingers. His
spelling isn't to good though. Tends to repeat one letter over and over, while he stands on the key.
Rebel also has the distinction of being the Black Cat in the title of our little company, Black Cat Prod.
He takes a very active roll in the day to day operation of things. Lying on top of the Monitor, dangling
one paw down in front of the screen, as if to say, "You know that won't work."
Max is Rebel's partner in crime and all things good to eat.
Max thinks I belong to him. He sits in the window while I work, licking one paw and occasionally looking
up at me knowingly, as if to say, "What did you do now?" Since I usually have no idea what I did, this
is a pretty good question.
Max also rides herd on the rest of the cats, including the dog, a Boston terrier.
Rebel has a very bad habit. He gets my wife up at three A.M. for his morning feeding. It wouldn't be so
bad if the other ten cats didn't insist on joining him for breakfast.
Poor Sarah. She's opening cans and shuffeling feed bowls while getting advice on how to conduct the
operation from half a dozen volunteers.
Where is Rebel during all this commotion? You guessed it. He's right there by the canopener with one
fang hanging over the edge of the can as it goes round on the canopener……
